About the position
To support the Claims Division by driving risk mitigation initiatives to contribute towards claims reduction through translation of data into insights that strengthen mitigation within claims, contribute towards initiatives implementation. The role will also provide administrative support on risk mitigation initiatives ensuring adherence to relevant policies and procedures -warning mechanisms, and claims loss reduction strategies related claims and systemic risk drivers.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Claims Risk Mitigation Support
- Monitor and synthesise social, community, and political indicators (e.g. protest dynamics, service delivery pressures, governance stressors) relevant to company’s claims exposure
- Assist in analysing various data sources to identify patterns, trends, and risk concentrations linked to unrest, service delivery failures, and politicalinstability.
- Project Management and administrative Support
- Provide project management and administrative support to risk mitigation initiatives, including coordinating meetings, maintaining project plans, action lists, stakeholder mapping and engagement plans.
- Track implementation progress against agreed deliverables and escalate deviations for management attention.
- Financial
- Monitor the budget and ensure spend is in line with the approved budget
- Ensure correct invoices are submitted and payments are made timeously
- Obtain the budget status monthly and ensure transfer of funds as and when required to support committed initiatives
- Ad hoc duties
- Coordinate Risk Mitigation events – Internally and externally
- Arrange travel for the Risk Mitigation department
- Perform any reasonable task as and when required by the Line Manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification within the following disciplines preferable – Diploma or Degree inRisk management, Sociology, Political Science, Social Science or similar.
