Kloof - An upmarket and long-standing Financial Services Provider is seeking a skilled and professional Claims Consultant to join their Short-Term Insurance Team. Position suites candidates who hold a financial degree or Short-Term Insurance specific qualifications.
We are seeking a short-term insurance claims consultant who can demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, as well as work effectively in a team environment.
The ideal candidate will be able to process claims efficiently, professionally and ethically, ensuring high quality service to clients and various parties. The candidate will also have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to handle complaints and concerns effectively.
Duties Include:
- Receive and review insurance claims
- Sending out, registering and settling claims timeously
- Efficient planning and organization of administration
- Answering telephone calls, emails and corresponding proficiently
- Investigate claims by gathering information from policyholders, witnesses, and other sources.
- Negotiate claim settlements with policyholders, insurance companies, and other parties.
- Communicate with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders to provide updates on claim status and address questions and concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of claims and related documentation.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Meet or exceed performance standards for quality, productivity, and customer service.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Finance Degree or NQF 4 in short term insurance
- Class of Business: Personal & Commercial Lines (Advantageous)
- RE5 Certificate (Advantageous)
Package:
- R15 000 - R30 000
- Salary is subject to industry experience and qualifications
- Provident Fund and uniform allowance
