About the position
Our client is seeking a Civil Quantity Surveyor to join their team on an exciting civil infrastructure project in the Free State. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated professional with site-based civil construction experience who is looking to grow within a dynamic and expanding business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial aspects of civil construction projects
- Measure and value completed work on site
- Assist with cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Prepare subcontractor payment assessments and variations
- Monitor project costs and assist with forecasting
- Work closely with site management and project teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Maintain accurate project records and commercial documentation
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 3 - 4 years' experience in civil construction projects
- Practical experience working on civil sites is essential
- Proficiency in CCS/Candy
- Experience with BuildSmart will be advantageous
- Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills
