Civil Engineer/Technologist - Water

About the position

An exciting opportunity is available for a qualified Civil Engineer or Civil Technologist to join our client's Pretoria office. The successful candidate will contribute to a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including bulk water systems, treatment works, and associated civil engineering services. This role is ideal for a technically driven professional who enjoys working within a collaborative consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with feasibility studies and planning investigations for water and wastewater projects
• Undertake technical design work and compile engineering reports
• Coordinate statutory approval processes for infrastructure projects
• Prepare project specifications and contract documentation
• Support project management activities through technical input and reporting
• Assist with measurements, valuations, schedules, quantities, and cost estimates
• Monitor construction activities with a focus on quality assurance
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong client relationships
• Ensure compliance with relevant technical standards and statutory procedures

Minimum Requirements

• BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 3 years' experience in bulk water, water treatment, and/or wastewater treatment projects
• Strong technical and report-writing skills
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Revit will be advantageous
