Civil Engineer

About the position

We are recruiting for a Civil Engineer (PrEng or PrTech) on behalf of a leading consulting engineering firm. This position is ideal for a skilled professional who is passionate about water infrastructure projects and looking to contribute to impactful work in either Cape Town or Durban.
The successful candidate will play a central role in the design, coordination, and delivery of municipal and bulk water projects, working alongside a team of multidisciplinary professionals in a collaborative and technically driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to the design and implementation of water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and relevant authorities.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Professionally registered with ECSA as PrEng or PrTech.
• Solid experience in the planning, design, and delivery of water-related infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with relevant local and international design standards.
• Proficient in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant design tools.
