About the position
Our client in the mining sector is looking for a Civil Design Engineer with a strong background in mining/ EPCM environments, with extensive experience in civil design and bulk material handling. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Lead and contribute to civil design activities across mining and bulk material handling projects.
- Prepare and review detailed design drawings, technical specifications, and design reports.
- Coordinate and integrate civil design with other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Provide technical support during construction phases and resolve on-site design issues.
- Interface with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering (BSc or BEng).
- Must be registered with ECSA as a Candidate Engineer or Professional Engineer (PrEng).
- Must have 5-10 years in mining experience in an EPCM environment
- Strong design and technical reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other design tools (e.g., Robot, Prokon, Idea Statica).
- Bulk handling material experience
