About the position
Develop a strategic plan for the Information and Communication Technology department, align to the Strategic objectives and articulate how IT can support and enable the current and future state. Establish and maintain the technology architecture and technology choices that power the organisation,ensuring that the systems are available and reliable by, among other things, reviewing and finalising the current Enterprise Architecture and ICT Strategy Development processes. Do an analysis of the current ICT infrastructure, and security (cyber and information) and human resource capabilities and advise on the infrastructure, security, skills and experience required to deliver on the strategic objectives. Provide strategic leadership for the procurement and installation of new technology, e.g. the High-Performance Computing system. Provide guidance to the Executive Committee on how to use existing and emerging technologies to achieve cost effective, reliable and efficient service delivery in a way that aligns with the available financial and human capital management resources. f) Demonstratable expertise in sound ICT governance related matters.
