Job Title: Chief Operating Officer
Location: Gauteng, South Africa
Hire Resolve's Client are seeking an experienced and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their team in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the mining industry, with a proven track record of success in managing operations, driving profitability, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the company's mining operations in Gauteng, including planning, production, safety, and compliance.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize productivity, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and government agencies.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of managers and employees to achieve operational goals and deliver results.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute long-term business strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mining engineering, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role within the mining industry, with a focus on operations management.
- Strong technical knowledge of mining operations, including drilling, blasting, and mineral processing.
- Proven track record of delivering results and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
