About the position
A well-established financial services business is seeking to appoint a Chief Investment Officer.
The Chief Investment Officer is responsible to ensure that the Fund is financially sustainable and viable by providing leadership and oversight in the development of long- and short-term fund
management and investment strategy & plans. To manage the acquiring, selling and disposing of capital and financial assets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ Financial Management / Accounting related qualification.
- Post graduate qualification in Finance/ Financial Management / Accounting related qualification.
- Certified Financial Planner ® (CFP®), Certified Fund Specialist (CFS), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) or related designation will be an added advantage.
- Post graduate qualification in Business Management or Administration will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Relevant 12-15 years’ experience of which 7 (seven) years must have been at a general/senior management level.
- Advanced Investment knowledge across asset classes and experience in the financial service industry with direct experience in institutional portfolio management and overseeing investments risk management and/or compliance functions for a public entity.
- Experience in leading and managing organisational transformation will be an added advantage
