About the Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) to provide strategic technology leadership within a large, complex and geographically dispersed organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the organisation’s technology strategy, driving digital transformation and innovation, strengthening cybersecurity and technology governance, and ensuring that technology solutions effectively support business growth and operational excellence.
This is a senior leadership role requiring a strong combination of strategic IT leadership, enterprise technology experience, commercial acumen and business transformation expertise.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute an enterprise-wide technology strategy aligned with business objectives, growth and innovation.
· Act as a strategic technology adviser to senior leadership on digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and emerging technologies.
· Lead digital innovation and technology-enabled operational excellence across the organisation.
· Provide leadership across technology governance, enterprise architecture, infrastructure and technology standards.
· Lead and oversee major SAP S/4HANA or comparable ERP transformation programmes, including implementation, optimisation, adoption and benefits realisation.
· Lead cybersecurity, information-security governance, IT risk management and regulatory compliance.
· Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity and cyber-incident preparedness.
· Develop and execute data and analytics strategies, including data governance, quality, accessibility and responsible data use.
· Identify opportunities to leverage analytics, automation and artificial intelligence to improve business decision-making.
· Manage technology vendors, sourcing, licensing, commercial negotiations and technology investment decisions.
· Develop business cases and cost-benefit analyses for significant technology investments.
· Manage IT budgets and resources, ensuring appropriate cost control and investment.
Requirements
· Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management or a related field.
· At least one recognised senior-level professional certification in information security, IT governance, risk, audit or enterprise architecture.
· 10+ years’ progressive experience within information technology management.
· At least 5 years’ experience in a senior IT leadership position, with accountability for enterprise or multi-site IT operations.
· Proven experience developing and executing enterprise technology, cybersecurity, data and ERP strategies.
· Demonstrated leadership of a major SAP S/4HANA or comparable ERP implementation, optimisation or transformation programme across multiple business units or geographies.
· Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, procurement, sales, distribution and aftermarket service processes.
· Broad experience across enterprise architecture, infrastructure, networking, cloud services, applications, end-user computing, service management and vendor management.
· Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, information security, data governance, privacy, disaster recovery, business continuity, IT risk and regulatory compliance.
· Proven experience managing significant technology budgets, developing business cases and delivering measurable business benefits.
· Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams within complex, geographically dispersed organisations.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives, Board members and non-technical stakeholders.
· Willingness to undertake local and international travel as required.
