The Chief Financial Officer oeports directly to the CEO.
The purpose of the CFO role is to strategically position the Company for long-term growth and to deliver value to the shareholder.
The CFO will be responsible for the conceptualization, development and implementation of the financial strategy, governance framework and financial management system.
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the Management of the following departments with a staff compliment of +- 17 employees:
Finance
Information Technology
Procurement
Stores
Cash flow management
Complies with group requirements in terms of- Cash flow management and reporting of cash flow position as well as requirements on project and overhead expenses
Financial Reporting- Oversee month end accounting process- Perform more complex Balance sheet recons such as WIP & revenue recognition- Ensure full monthly financial compliance (e.g. SARS).
Financial operations- Assuming responsibility for the CAPEX processes and procedures.- Support the business operationally, by provision of focussed reports, providing information driving relevant financial decision making- Engaging in costing and price setting of tenders/quotations/new orders or order variations
Governance and Controls- File and maintain records of all source documents according to financial and audit requirements.- Accountable for the financial year-end audit. Liaising with auditors to ensure annual audits are effectively performed. Attend to audit requests.- Develop, maintain and ensure compliance to group, entity and regulatory regulations, processes and policies-
Qualification and Experience- BCom Financial Accounting / CIMA / CA(SA)- Minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience in manufacturing or construction environment- Extensive and detailed knowledge of best practice accounting systems, policies and procedures,- Knowledge and extensive experience with IT systems such as MS, Excel and ERP systems
