About the position
A well-established and growing organisation within a fast-paced, operationally intensive industry is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team.
This role is suited to a commercially astute finance executive with strong leadership ability, proven financial management expertise, and the ability to drive operational efficiency and long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company's financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Oversee cash flow, debtor management, payroll, and financial reporting
- Ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements
- Prepare accurate management accounts, board reports, and financial packs
- Evaluate contract profitability and support strategic business decisions
- Drive financial process improvements, internal controls, and risk management
- Lead and mentor the finance team
- Support strategic growth initiatives, including acquisitions and expansion opportunities
Minimum Requirements
- CA(SA) qualification essential
- Minimum 8 years' financial management experience, with at least 5 years at senior leadership level
- Experience within labour-intensive industries preferred
- Strong understanding of South African tax, payroll, and statutory compliance
- Proven track record in cash flow management and debtor control
