About the position
To provide visionary leadership in defining and driving the long-term technology roadmap that connects complex data ecosystems with commercial execution. The role is accountable for shaping and leading the global Field Intelligence agenda for the Sales & Merchandising business, ensuring that technology, data and AI are translated into practical competitive advantage, measurable client value and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
Field Sales & Merchandising Technology Strategy and Roadmap
? Define and maintain a 3-year vision and delivery roadmap aligned to the FS&M growth strategy.
? Set the global Field Intelligence strategy for S&M, with clear priorities, sequencing, funding logic and regional alignment.
? Shift the function from descriptive reporting towards directive intelligence that helps field teams and clients take better, faster decisions.
? Act as the senior technology advisor to vertical and regional leadership on platform risk, delivery trade-offs, and investment decisions.
Market Trends and Industry Innovation
? Monitor global retail, field execution and POP intelligence trends, including AI, image recognition, augmented reality and adjacent technologies, and assess their relevance to the S&M business.
? Identify capability gaps and emerging competitor moves, and recommend strategic responses that protect and strengthen market leadership.
? Maintain an external lens on best practice, innovation pathways and product opportunities relevant to field intelligence and retail execution.
