RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the strategic plan to achieve business goals and objectives for the group of companies.
- Identify market opportunities and drive growth and expansion strategies.
- Provide visionary leadership and direction for all subsidiaries and departments in the group.
Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.

Financial Oversight:
- Oversee and manage the company's budget, in close collaboration with the Financial Director, ensuring financial health and sustainability.
- Monitor financial performance, analysing key metrics and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Customer and Stakeholder Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, shareholders and other stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for major clients and suppliers and resolve high-level issues.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing executive team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Implement talent development programs to ensure the continuous growth and development of EXCO, managers and employees.
Market and Competitor Analysis:
- Conduct regular market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and competitors.
- Adjust strategies and operations to maintain a competitive edge.
- Identify new products in collaboration with BD&I, service offerings and market segments for growth.
Business Development:
- Drive business development initiatives to attract new clients and expand market share.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create and implement effective sales strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Technology or Engineering and a business-related Degree.
- Proven track record of executive leadership and innovation in an engineering or technology organization, preferably within the geospatial, engineering, mining, construction or agricultural industry.
- Experience working with a global technology supplier, distributing products and solutions into the African continent would be ideal.
- Extensive business network in the mining industry, a big advantage.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning and execution, business development and operational management, with a focus on driving growth and profitability.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, product lifecycle, technological and market trends within the geospatial, engineering, mining, construction or agricultural industry.
