About the position

Role Purpose
The Chartered Accountant (CA) will provide operational leadership and oversight within the Investment Reporting function in CIB. The role ensures the accurate, timely, and high-quality delivery of investment reporting services to institutional clients while supporting governance, stakeholder management, and team leadership.
This is a critical stabilisation and oversight role while the permanent team focuses on strategic project delivery.
Business Context
Client provides an outsourced Investment Reporting solution to institutional clients, including:

• Pension Funds
• Medical Aid Schemes
• Insurance & Life Companies

The function sits within a highly regulated environment requiring strong financial controls, reporting accuracy, and governance discipline.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant – CA(SA) (essential)

 
Experience

• Minimum 10–15+ years post-qualification experience
• Proven experience in:
• Asset Management
• Fund Administration
• Pension Fund Audits


• Strong exposure to:


• Investment reporting environments
• Institutional client servicing
• Financial services operations

 
Technical Competencies

• Deep understanding of:
• Investment instruments and portfolios
• NAV, performance reporting, and valuations


• Strong knowledge of:


• Financial reporting standards (IFRS)
• Governance and regulatory frameworks


• Advanced Excel and reporting tools (e.g., BI tools advantageous)

 
Leadership Competencies

• Mature leadership style with strong emotional intelligence
• Ability to stabilise and guide teams during high-pressure/project periods
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving capability
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
