Channel Specialist: On Trade in Constantia
We are seeking a Mid Career professional with over 6 years of experience in the FMCG & Supply Chain Management sector for a Permanent position in Constantia, Western Cape.
Channel Specialist: On Trade
Mid Career (Above 6 yrs exp) | Constantia, Western Cape | Permanent
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the on-premise channel strategy aligned with brand and commercial priorities
- Lead channel segmentation to define outlet types, prioritize accounts, and tailor portfolio and activation tactics
- Build and implement annual on-premise marketing plans, in collaboration with brand and commercial teams
- Develop and manage toolkits, POSM, and menu strategies for priority venues and occasions
- Drive shopper and customer insight generation to inform channel strategy and optimize campaign effectiveness
- Track competitor activity, outlet performance, and market trends to refine channel tactics
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to deliver best-in-class execution
- Support Joint Business Planning and tailor-made activation programs with strategic on-premise customers
- Manage the on-premise marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and strong ROI
- Define and report on KPIs and performance metrics to measure channel marketi
Key Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of the South African on-trade landscape and customer dynamics
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive commercial impact
- Passion for hospitality, culture, nightlife, and premium brands
- A self-starter with a bias for action and creative problem-solving
- A collaborative spirit who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
