About the position
A leading global organisation in the industrial automation and energy sector is seeking a strategic and driven Channel Manager to spearhead its partner and distribution network in West Sub-Saharan Africa. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone with deep technical expertise in control systems and digital software, and a strong understanding of the channel partner ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a channel sales strategy aligned to business growth and market penetration goals
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified channel partners
- Establish clear business plans and KPIs with each partner and ensure accountability
- Monitor channel performance to meet revenue, margin, and market share targets
- Participate in strategic sales engagements, including high-level negotiations and deal structuring
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams on go-to-market activities
- Facilitate product training, promotional campaigns, and partner enablement initiatives
- Drive partner engagement in digital software and automation solutions
- Provide regular reporting, insights, and performance analytics to senior management
- Build and sustain long-term partner and customer relationships across the region
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5–10 years’ experience in channel management within process automation, control systems, or industrial software
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage complex partner networks
- Solid understanding of digital transformation trends in industrial sectors
- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Must be proficient in MS Office tools and CRM platforms
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
