About the position
Role Overview
Our client is currently delivering a SAP Greenfield implementation and is seeking an experienced SAP Change Manager to lead the people, process, and organisational change aspects of the programme.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring business readiness, user adoption, and successful transition to the new SAP landscape by defining and executing an end-to-end Change Management strategy aligned to the programme roadmap.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
Change & Adoption
- Define and own the Change Management strategy for the SAP Greenfield implementation
- Conduct stakeholder impact assessments and change readiness assessments
- Design and execute change interventions to support adoption across business units
- Manage organisational change risks and mitigation plans
Stakeholder & Communication
- Identify and manage key stakeholders across business and IT
- Develop and execute a communication plan aligned to project milestones
- Facilitate executive and business leadership engagement
- Act as the primary change liaison between the programme team and the business
Training & Enablement
- Work closely with SAP Functional Leads and business SMEs to define training needs
- Oversee the development of role-based training materials
- Coordinate end-user training, super-user enablement, and knowledge transfer
- Support cutover, go-live, and post-go-live adoption activities
Governance & Reporting
- Establish change governance, metrics, and reporting structures
- Track change adoption, training effectiveness, and user readiness
- Provide regular updates to Programme Leadership and Steering Committees
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory
- Proven experience as a Change Manager on SAP implementations, ideally Greenfield
- Strong understanding of SAP transformation lifecycles (Prepare, Explore, Realise, Deploy)
- Demonstrated experience in Organisational Change Management (OCM)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working in large, complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Desirable
- Experience in Africa-based or emerging market projects
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA implementations
- Familiarity with Prosci / ADKAR or similar change frameworks
- Experience working in culturally diverse environments
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Business, HR, Psychology, Information Systems, or related field
- Change Management certification (Prosci, APMG, etc.) — advantageous
