Introduction
Change Management Specialist (12 Months Fixed Term Contract)
The position of Change Management Specialist is vacant. The Change Management Specialist will report directly to the Senior Manager: Project Management Office and form part of the Office of the Chief Operations Officer. The position is based at the Head Office in Pretoria.
The remuneration package for this position is R 1 386 956 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
The Change Management Specialist will be required to provide support to the Senior Manager: Project Management Office through the implementation of the following Key Performance Areas (KPAs):
- Lead the development, review, integration, and execution of organisational change strategies aligned with best practices aligned to the programme management model.
- Lead the implementation of effective change impact assessments, readiness assessments, and stakeholder analysis and identify potential risks, impacts, resistance points and opportunities.
- Interpret and provide an expert opinion of the programme change based on the impact assessment outcomes.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring trust, alignment, and commitment.
- Guide anticipation and addressing of stakeholder needs, concerns, and adoption to drive sustained support for the change initiative.
- Develop analytical and integrated change management plans and reports to identify goals, metrics and make recommendations to guide, advise and influence decision-making.
- Coach and support senior leadership and executives to help them lead the change.
- Guide and support the Change Agents in playing an advocacy role in the change initiative.
- Manage delivery of clear, timely, and tailored messages through diverse channels to inform, engage, and inspire stakeholders.
- Drive the adaptation of communication methods to reinforce understanding and commitment to the change.
- Lead the development of and communicate the post-implementation change strategy and sustainability approach for stakeholders for programmes.
- Guide collaboration with the internal culture resources to ensure alignment of the change management activities with the organisational culture.
- Ensure the creation of actionable deliverables for change management, including communications, training, and resistance management plans.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum a 3-year Degree/ Diploma (NQF level 6) in Human Resources / Industrial Psychology/Organisational Development / Project Management or similar
- Have related postgraduate qualification will be beneficial.
- Must have a Prosci Change Management Practitioner Certification.
- Must have a minimum of 5 - 8 years' work experience implementing change management.
- Strong understanding of project management and practical application of Change Management methodologies (Prosci ADKAR).
- Experience with Change Impact Assessments, Readiness Assessments, and Resistance Management.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management, business engagement, and relationship building.
- Strong project management acumen with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Exposure to risk management, stakeholder management, project management, and data analysis.
- Ability to analyse data to assess training needs and measure training effectiveness
- Experience working on IT system implementations, business process re-engineering, projects will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of the medical schemes industry will be an added advantage.
- Merger and Acquisitions Integration process will be an added advantage.
