About the position

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Change Lead is responsible for managing change management activities and applying structured methodologies. They develop strategies to drive adoption of changes, support communication efforts, and design and deliver communications for project teams. Additionally, they assess and plan change interventions and identify training needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive effective change management aligned with the successful execution of the BOLTS strategy and broader transformation initiatives
  • Lead and coordinate strategic and operational change efforts across complex, high-impact projects
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment, manage resistance, and embed change across diverse business functions
  • Oversee the adoption and sustained use of key systems including Dayforce, oneX, MyAccess, Stock Count Application, and RFID within store environments
  • Ensure continuity and minimize disruption across transformation programs by delivering structured change interventions
  • Provide change leadership on enterprise-level initiatives such as system upgrades, Rest of Africa rollout, and RFID onboarding
  • Adapt with agility to support additional projects within the Change department as business needs evolve
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of change management initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Act as a trusted advisor and change champion, cultivating credibility and urgency in driving organizational transformation
  • Create Training Needs Analysis to support change programs. Influence the design and delivery of training programs, including coaching of project teams as required.
  • Reporting and documentation
  • Support communication efforts including drafting of comms for various stakeholders cascading key messages and interventions required at various stages of the project.
  • Design, develop, deliver, and manage communications for a wider project team.
  • Assess and plan change interventions.
  • Conduct Change Impact Assessments, assess change readiness, identify, and map key stakeholders in order to develop a coherent plan that will address change needs
Qualification and Experience:
  • A matric qualification
  • A related Degree / Diploma
  • At least 6 to 8 years of proven work experience in Project and Change Management
  • Solid experience of a minimum of 5 years of retail industry across functions will be advantageous
  • Change and impact analysis
  • Knowledge of Prosci ADKAR Model will be advantageous
