About the position

An exceptional opportunity for a commercially astute CA(SA) to step into a strategic Chief Financial Officer role within a high performing, nationally established business.
A market leading organisation, operating within the services and distribution sector, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. The business has a strong national footprint and delivers essential, high-volume products and solutions to both corporate and consumer markets, supported by a well-developed operational and distribution network.
 
As part of a larger listed group, the environment requires a finance leader who can uphold robust governance and reporting standards, while maintaining a pragmatic and commercially focused approach. The successful candidate will partner closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Board, contributing to strategic direction and ensuring long term financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive leadership of the finance function, ensuring overall financial integrity and performance
  • Drive strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting in line with business objectives
  • Oversee all financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, Board reporting, and group submissions
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain effective governance and control frameworks
  • Deliver clear and actionable financial insights to support executive decision making
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships, including group, auditors, and financial institutions
  • Support strategic initiatives, including potential acquisitions and business growth opportunities

Job Experience and Skills Required:

  • CA(SA) qualification is essential
  • Demonstrated experience on a Board level
  • Strong exposure to group reporting and corporate governance frameworks
  • Experience within distribution or manufacturing, or annuity revenue
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic oversight and operational involvement
  • High levels of professionalism, self-awareness, and sound judgement
  • Advanced financial modelling and systems proficiency
