About the position

Working hours: 07:30 - 16:30 (Monday - Friday) and 07:30 - 14:00 (Saturdays)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid grade 12 / matric certificate
  • Previous cashier/cash handling and point-of-sale expertise
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail

Key Performance Area:

  • Process sales transactions and payments
  • Ensure all prices and quantities are accurate and provide a receipt to customer
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system
  • Process layaways, returns, exchanges and resolve customer complaints
  • Maintain a clean and organised cashier area
  • Monitor and restock items as needed
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
