About the position
My client imports and exports commodoties into Africa and is looking for a bookkeeper / Accounts administrator, skilled in Cashbooks & Creditors and with foreign currency experience.
My client imports and exports commodoties into Africa and is looking for a bookkeeper / Accounts administrator, skilled in Cashbooks & Creditors and with foreign currency experience.
Requirements:
- Post Matric qualification in the accounting field
- 3 years minimum Cashbook experience
- Foreign Currency is a strong requirment
- Experience in Creditors Processing and Reconcilliations
More about the role:
- Processing & reconciling the Rand cashbooks
- Loading & scrutinizing the EFT payments
- Scrutinise foreign supplier payments
- Checking and submitting Foreign payments/Bop forms to the bank
- Checking & posting the Creditors exchange rate variances
- Checking & posting the Debtors exchange rate variances
- Checking & posting exchange rate variances for the foreign cashbooks
- Reconciling CFC Accounts
- Maintaining Forward exchange contracts
- Performing control checks for the foreign cashbooks
- Checking the Exchange variance calculations & postings
- Reconciling Petty cash & posting to pastel
- Plan short term cashflow
- Co-ordinate Rand movement between accounts for payment requirements & best interest returns
- Co-ordinate Foreign currency movements between accounts to match FEC conversions and payments
- Maintain Merchanting schedules
- Submit Merchanting information to the bank
- Assist the Creditors in Processing Foreign/Local Creditors, Creditors Reconcilliations and preparation for payment release
