About the position
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests to identify mechanical problems and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, components, and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for preventative maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed on each vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair recommendations, provide cost estimates, and address any concerns.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new technologies, and manufacturer guidelines for vehicle maintenance and repair.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of automotive systems and components, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- ASE certification or other relevant certifications preferred but not required.
