Capital Accountant

About the position

Hire Resolve’s Client is urgently looking for a Capital Accountant to be based in Limpopo!



Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage the on-mine Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Budget Plan, ensuring all Capital Fund Applications comply with standards and are submitted, processed, and approved timeously via SAP.
• Monitor capital cash flow and expenditure, compile monthly CAPEX forecasts, and support Project Managers with accurate financial insights and timely post-implementation reviews.
• Coordinate and participate in monthly CAPEX reviews and meetings, ensuring project vote closures and capitalisations meet required standards and deadlines.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, ensure accurate physical verification of assets, and align all capital applications with approved budgets and statutory requirements.
• Lead the CAPEX business plan and long-term budget cycle, ensure SAP data accuracy, and uphold compliance with all relevant financial policies, procedures, and accounting standards.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Financial Accounting Degree or National Diploma in Management Accounting
• 5 years financial management experience in a mining environment
• Code B Driver’s License
