Candidate Quantity Surveyor

About the position

Our client is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in the Western Cape winelands. This is an excellent opportunity for a developing professional to gain exposure to a variety of construction projects while working alongside experienced industry specialists in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with cost planning, estimating, and budgeting
• Prepare bills of quantities and tender documentation
• Support contract administration throughout the project lifecycle
• Evaluate contractor payment applications and variations
• Monitor project costs and assist with financial reporting
• Participate in procurement and tender evaluation processes
• Liaise with project teams, consultants, and contractors
• Contribute to the successful commercial delivery of projects

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying
• Registered as a Candidate Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP or eligible to register
• 2-5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience
• Sound understanding of quantity surveying principles and construction contracts
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
