Candidate Attorney/Article Clerk
Location: Bedfordview, Gauteng

Reporting to: Managing Partner
Salary: R10000 to R11000 p/m
Job Purpose:
The Candidate Attorney will undergo practical legal training while contributing to the firm's daily operations. This role provides exposure to a broad spectrum of legal work, enabling the candidate to gain practical experience in preparation for admission as an attorney.
Key Responsibilities:

• Draft legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence under supervision.
• Conduct legal research and prepare opinions on various legal matters.
• Attend court proceedings, client meetings, and consultations where appropriate.
• Assist senior attorneys with case preparation, discovery, and trial support.
• Manage client files and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and case law relevant to the firm's practice areas.
• Participate in professional development and training programs offered by the firm.

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant degree from an accredited South African university.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
