As a Call Centre agent you will deal directly with customers, using negotiation and problem-solving skills to assist the customers to resolve their outstanding debts and collect payments. You will need proven attention to detail and planning and organizational skills to manage customer accounts and document the process.
Key Responsibilities :
Debt Collection:
- Arranging for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules based on the customer's financial situation
- Confirming right party contact
- Confirming and/or update the customer's details:
- Banking details
- Employer information
- Repayment method and frequency (weekly, fortnightly or monthly)
- Discussing and determining a reason for nonpayment with the customer and update the system accordingly with the latest information received
- Negotiating payment arrangement with the customers within set mandates
Trace delinquent debtors:
- Trace delinquent debtors to obtain new contact details by using different trace tools
- Request referral information from 3rd party/parties such as close relatives, employers or neighbours
- Update the system and save account
Quality Assurance:
- Meet the division qualitative standards in terms of inputs and outputs
- Minimise the number of errors on accounts worked
- Initiate action on debtor queries and administrative tasks on the system using the correct
Minimum Requirements: (Qualifications and Experience)
- Matric/Grade 12/National Senior Certificate
- 3 years Contact Centre Experience
- Proficient in MS Office
