About the position

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented CAD 3D Designer to contribute to innovative product and display design. This role focuses on bringing concepts to life through technical accuracy and creative problem-solving.

The CAD 3D Designer will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and templates that translate conceptual ideas into manufacturable designs. The role involves working closely with creative, production, and manufacturing teams to ensure all specifications meet design intent and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 3D concept models from client specifications.
• Develop renders for client approval.
• Design for manufacturability and visual appeal.
• Refine ideas through team brainstorming sessions.
• Finalize concept models and create templates/layouts for artwork placement.
• Liaise with the manufacturing floor to update design changes.
• Update relevant departments with approved revisions.
• Place artwork onto templates using Adobe Illustrator.
• Ensure proof files meet client expectations for design and colour accuracy.
• Manage the loading and processing of approved proof files.
• Maintain organized documentation and version control.
• Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat in daily tasks.
• Collaborate effectively across departments and maintain clear communication.
• Work overtime when required to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Matric qualification.
• 1–3 years of experience in 3D design using CAD software (Rhino V8 preferred).
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD tools.
• Skilled in Adobe Illustrator.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, initiative, and willingness to learn through hands-on experience.

Remuneration
R20 000 - R30 000
