About the position
Are you an experienced Controls & Instrumentation Engineer ready to drive significant impact? Our client is looking for a talented individual to join their team and help them make a difference in mining and processing operations.
As a Mid-Level C&I Project Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing critical control and instrumentation systems. You'll oversee projects from planning to tracking, ensuring efficient, safe, and optimized plant operations. Working closely with diverse engineering disciplines and operational teams, you'll deliver projects on time and within budget.
What You'll Bring:
- Qualifications: Relevant degree/diploma in Electrical, Control, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 8-10 years in C&I engineering, with extensive experience in mining and processing plant environments.
- Proven Track Record: Successfully delivered large-scale C&I projects.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in control system design and programming (PLC, DCS, SCADA), strong knowledge of instrumentation selection, installation, and maintenance, and familiarity with industry standards (ISA, IEC, IEEE).
- Project Management skills.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Design & Development: Selecting equipment, ensuring compliance, developing P&IDs, control philosophies, and system architectures.
- Installation & Commissioning: Overseeing installation, calibration, commissioning, conducting site inspections, and troubleshooting.
- Maintenance & Optimization: Developing preventive maintenance programs, analyzing performance data, and providing technical support.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to HSE regulations, participating in audits, and conducting risk assessments.
