About the position

My client based in Cape Town, Kuilsriver is currently looking for a C# Developer to join their team on a contract basis.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3+ years' experience in a software development environment
• C#
• .NET 6 or later
• MS SQL Server and MySQL
• Proven experience working with:
• RESTful APIs
• XML, SOAP, WCF
• HTML5, JavaScript, Angular
• JSON
• Stored Procedures
• SSIS
• Message Queues (e.g., RabbitMQ)
• Visual Studio
• Azure DevOps / TFS
• Git
• Amazon EC2, S3, VPC
• SOLID principles
• API-first architecture
• Continuous Integration
• DevOps practices
• SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture)
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies (advantageous)
• Experience in financial transactional systems (advantageous)
• 3-year tertiary qualification in IT or related technical/analytical field (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop database solutions
• Design and develop user interfaces for web-based platforms
• Develop, enhance, maintain, and support software applications
• Perform unit testing and code validation
• Contribute to migration of systems to web-based and API-first architecture
• Build and maintain third-party integrations for core business processes
• Produce and maintain technical documentation
• Update internal knowledge bases and Wiki documentation
• Collaborate closely with: Business Analysts | Test Analysts | Delivery team members
• Participate in log analytics and system monitoring
• Research and evaluate new technologies and tools
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the development team
