Renewable Energy Semiconductor Manufacturing - Industry

Industry:
Procurement of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals.

Role:
Buying Representative:

Education:  Matric.  
Tertiary education: in Procurement/Marketing field, an advantage.
Computer literacy

Skills:  Motivated, enthusiastic, team player.
                       
Basic salary between R10000 – R12000 + commission + (travel allowance - preferably own car)

Training: In-house training will be provided
Previous experience as a sales/buying representative, an advantage

Duties, tasks and responsibilities

• Responsible for the procurement of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous scrap metals within her assigned vendors.
• Identify and contact potential suppliers and assist negotiating supply agreements, quotations and contracts, as needed.
• Liaise with management for prices of merchandise.
• Handle purchasing issues including queries on manifests and purchase notes.
• To confirm bookings with Suppliers and designated manager prior to load pick ups
• Prepare compliant safety & health files
• Form and maintain strong supplier relations: communication, negotiation and soft skills to interact with suppliers                
• Perform other adhoc duties required by her designated manager
