About the position
Our client within the heavy automative/transportation industry is seeking a skilled and stable Buyer to join their team. Candidates are required to have a complete matric, with a diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management/Procurement. One should have exposure in a similar role (procurement/buyer) focusing on international sourcing & import logistics, with proficiency in advanced MS Office (Excel), ERP/Inventory Management Systems (Sage Evolution, Syspro).
The buyer will be responsible for the end-to-end international and local processes, from strategic planning and supplier negotiation to logistics coordination and customs compliance.
Requirements & Skills:
- Proven experience with import procedures, air, and sea freight logistics.
- Experience using historical sales data & forecasting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, & numerical abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & perform under pressure.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organization skills.
