About the position
Well known raw material supplier has a vacancy for a buyer who has sound knowledge of incoterms and importing raw materials for the manufacture of primary ingredients sold into the food and pharma sectors. This candidate will determine quantities of raw materials required and ensure sufficient stock levels for sales. Should you have any queries, call Antoinette or Kaylin on 0861 FENRIS (336747)
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all stock levels are sufficient to cover Sales requirements.
Create and issue of purchase orders on Pastel Evolution to suppliers.
Keep track of all import and local orders - arrival dates etc.
Receiving of import documentation and forwarding originals to import agent.
Update procurement workbook daily with new orders, shipment dates etc. for weekly Buying meeting.
Communicate with import/transport agents.
Arrange local collections.
Notifying Sales of price increases, shipment delays etc.
Communicate with Warehouse Staff / stock controllers and with accounts department when receiving stock.
Calculating of landed costs.
Keeping track of incoming supplier sample results.
All procurement related tasks required from management/suppliers to ensure positive outcomes.
Requirements:
Pastel Evolution experience preferred but not required.
Buying experience essential
Ability to function in a high pressurised environment essential.
Be able to attend to prioritise and complete tasks
Knowledge of Incoterms
Ability to meet deadlines.
