About the position
Purpose of the Role:
Are you passionate about Microsoft, technology, partner engagement, and driving digital transformation? This is your opportunity to be part of an exciting Microsoft-funded initiative as a Disti Champ & Ambassador - a strategic role at the forefront of Windows 11 adoption and Windows 10 End of Support (EOS) partner readiness. In this high-impact position, you'll lead the execution of Microsoft's EOS community program across distribution and partner networks in South Africa. You'll champion Windows 11 and EOS readiness for resellers, deliver technical webinars, bootcamps, and POCs, and manage end-to-end community engagement, events, and post-event follow-ups. Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, you'll support marketing, sales, and technical enablement efforts while tracking and reporting program outcomes. We're looking for someone with strong technical knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and deployment strategies, along with experience in technical presales or partner enablement. You should be a confident presenter, an organised project manager, and a results-driven professional ready to influence and empower the channel.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Windows 10 End-of-Support (EOS) and Windows 11 Readiness
- Ensure reseller and partner readiness for the transition from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
- Promote awareness of EOS timelines and upgrade urgency.
Plan and Execute Technical Enablement Activities
- Lead Proof-of-Concept (POC) and technical assessment events with top resellers targeting their SMB customers.
- Host and facilitate Windows 11 webinars and readiness workshops for resellers and their customers.
Coordinate Partner Engagement and Events
- Organize in-person and virtual events, manage the readiness calendar, and oversee event logistics.
- Collaborate with resellers to integrate demand generation questionnaires and post-event follow-ups.
Collaborate Across Teams and Stakeholders
- Work closely with Microsoft PDMs, internal Disti teams (sales, marketing, management), MNA contacts, and resellers to align activities.
- Share best practices across the community and ensure consistent messaging and execution.
Track, Report, and Optimize Program Performance
- Monitor engagement activities, track pipeline growth, and compile performance reports for quarterly business reviews.
- Provide regular updates on event execution, number of partners engaged, and customers trained.
Support Sales & Marketing Execution
- Assist partners with executing sales and marketing plans, including using Microsoft-supplied kits, workshop content, and execution guides.
- Align with marketing teams to amplify campaign impact across social and digital platforms.
Champion Community Enablement
- Participate in the quarterly Disti Community calls and contribute to community newsletters.
- Serve as the primary advocate and execution lead for Microsoft's EOS accelerator programs within the distribution ecosystem.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Office 2024, and Azure Stack.
- Experience in technical presales, IT consulting, or solutions enablement.
- Background working with resellers, distributors, or Microsoft partners.
- Skilled in partner training, webinars, and hands-on enablement workshops.
- Proven ability to plan and execute events (virtual and in-person).
- Excellent stakeholder coordination and project management.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Experience with engagement tracking, performance reporting, and KPIs.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to optimize partner and customer engagement.

Working Conditions:
