About the position

Are you a strategic, commercially sharp leader who thrives on driving revenue, building high-performing teams, and owning a full business unit P&L?


Our client is a major hardware and sales solution environment looking for a dynamic Business Unit Manager to lead our Client Computing portfolio. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the General Manager, with real influence on strategy, vendor relationships, channel growth, and bottom-line results.


Purpose of Position: The Business Unit Manager is a key function within our major hardware and sales solution environment, and this role is a direct link to the senior leadership team. The person will be required to formulate a subjectively assessed plan that demonstrates cross-company or silo-based adoption of Marketplace/Cloud and Services implementation transformation (in line with company strategy). In addition, the Business Unit Manager is to ensure that all our contractual obligations to the vendor are upheld and enforced across the business. This role will include the success of the business unit measured by financial performance data and will include the management and motivation of team members to achieve the company’s financial budget and market share objectives.

RequirementsEducation and Experience:


·       Minimum 4 years of product/sales experience in the IT industry.


·       Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or a similar tertiary qualification.


·       Preferable experience in product marketing and product management.


·       Understanding of working with/through channels to drive revenue and targeted market growth.


·        Good written and verbal communication skills.


·       Comfortable presenting to and meeting with senior management.


·       High level of perseverance.
