About the position

REQUIREMENTS

• B.Com Degree (Accounting III)/ National Diploma in Cost Management Accounting or equivalent qualification
• 3-5 years of financial experience preferably in the automotive industry
• Experience in a cost accounting environment and methods
• Experience in financial analysis techniques

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Advanced computer literacy (MS Excel, SAP, MS PowerPoint, Think-cell, Essbase and Poert BI)
• Excellent communication skills
• Assertive
• Analytical skills with systems orientation
• Be disciplined and able to perform under pressure
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently

ADDED ADVANTAGE

• A good understanding of the exchange rate's impact on the business

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Controlling the overheads and manpower cost and reporting results for actuals (month and year-to-date) and full-year forecast
• Calculate the controllable for the planning round and budget
• Proactively liaise with various stakeholders regarding non-performance to facilitate reporting and corrective measures
• Evaluate divisional forecast
• Timeous monthly reporting of manufacturing costs for the finance review meetings
• Fulfil the month-end financial and accounting requirements
• Timeous journal postings in SAP for month-end closure
• Analyse and monitor all costs on an 80/ 20 basis to identify and control cost drivers
• Financial evaluation of general investment requirements
• Reconciliation of provision accounts
• Ensure correct accounting of all transactions and reimbursements
• Ad-hoc financial studies
