About the position
Our clients in the Agri-Tech space are on the hunt for a Business Systems Engineer to join their teams based in Paarl. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing business systems that align with our organization’s goals. You will be part of a cross-functional team of engineers, business stakeholders, and data scientists, working together to deliver innovative products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Use appropriate tools to solve system problems and drive decision-making.
- Plan, develop and implement new systems to enhance existing processes.
- Participate in system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure the stability and reliability of implemented solutions.
- Manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders and engineers to support the delivery of a project, ensuring that project goals and objectives are met.
- Design and implement system integrations to ensure smooth communication between different software platforms and tools.
- Translate data into informative reports and use visuals to draw out insights, supporting the business with making data-driven decisions.
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years’ Experience with system design and development.
- Experience with Low-Code or driver code development.
- Experience with Mendix, Excel or Power BI.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with supply chain concepts and business operation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment.
