About the position
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Solutions Architect to lead and guide a team of Business Analysts (BA's) in delivering innovative, business-focused IT solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with leadership expertise, ensuring projects are scoped, designed, and executed effectively to drive digital transformation and operational efficiency. This role involves overseeing multiple IT-for-business initiatives, ranging from ERP upgrades to digitisation of processes, and requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in business process optimisation and solution architecture. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts, ensuring high-quality outputs and alignment with project goals. Translate business needs into practical IT solutions that deliver measurable value. Drive business process mapping and optimisation across multiple functions. Provide solution architecture oversight for initiatives including: Chatbot implementation. Digitisation of forms and workflows. ERP upgrade (JDE and other systems). Waste picker solution design and rollout. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business stakeholders, to ensure successful delivery of projects. Ensure architecture and solution designs are aligned with business strategy and technical standards. Act as a key decision-maker in evaluating technology options and integration approaches. Develop and maintain solution documentation, frameworks, and best practices. Key Projects Chatbot Deployment - Enhancing customer and internal engagement. Form Digitisation - Streamlining data capture and reducing manual processes. ERP Upgrade (JDE) - Overseeing functional and technical upgrades. Waste Picker Solution - Implementing sustainable technology solutions for operations. Business Process Mapping - Standardising and optimising processes across the organisation. Requirements Proven experience as a Business Solutions Architect or similar senior role. Strong background in leading and managing teams of Business Analysts. Deep understanding of IT-for-business project delivery. Hands-on experience with ERP systems (JDE expertise highly advantageous). Solid experience in process mapping, business analysis, and solution design. Knowledge of emerging digital solutions (chatbots, workflow automation, etc.). Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving ability with a strategic mindset.
