Business Representative

About the position

Business Representative required to support the Sales and Marketing department by managing sales, administration, stock control, and delivering exceptional customer service to achieve departmental targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Administration (45%)

• Canvass and open new customer accounts.
• Monitor monthly sales per customer and act on variances.
• Extract and analyze sales data for decision-making.
• Introduce marketing and promotional initiatives.
• Support route planning and logistics coordination.
• Host trade events and customer engagements.
• Assist with credit applications and monitor debt collection.
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment.

Stock Control (15%)

• Coordinate with Warehouse to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Assist with consignment stock and forecasting.
• Monitor stock rotations and replenish as needed.

Compliance (10%)

• Operate within company controls and procedures.
• Report risks and ensure adherence to regulations.
• Prevent unnecessary expenditure.

Customer Service (20%)

• Build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Resolve customer queries promptly and professionally.
• Provide product and pricing updates and training.
• Maintain accurate customer information in the database.

Cost Control (10%)

• Ensure proper pricing structures and monitor gross profit.
• Optimize company resources and reduce operational costs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum: Diploma or Certificate (NQF 5)
• Experience: Up to 3 years as a Business Representative or similar role (manufacturing environment advantageous)
• Technical Competence: Basic MS Office; SAP, ERP, Salesforce or similar systems
