About the position
Our client is looking for a Business Relationship Manager to join their team in Paarl, Western Cape. This mid-senior level position is focused on managing and growing relationships with key agricultural customers across the Breede River Valley and Elgin regions. The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving agri-product sales, supporting customer needs, and contributing to the organisation’s growth strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to build strong business relationships with existing and new customers
- Promote and sell the company’s product and service offerings
- Initiate tailored agri solutions to help achieve sales targets within the designated region
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ongoing support
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities, and report to management
- Utilise internal and external data sources to support business-to-business engagement and growth
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and relevant external regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the agri-business industry, particularly in packaging materials
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proven sales management and advanced negotiation skills
- Sound judgement, achievement orientation, and ability to deal with complex scenarios
