About the position
Our client in the FinTech space (Trade & Supply Chain Finance platform) is looking for a Business Process and Systems Analyst to join their team in Stellenbosch. The Business Process & Systems Analyst plays a critical role in documenting, assessing, and optimising business processes across the business. This role bridges operations, compliance, and software development to ensure that systems accurately reflect business requirements and support strategic growth objectives.
The successful candidate will focus on streamlining workflows, improving operational efficiency, automating routine processes, and ensuring alignment between business operations and system functionality. The role includes significant administrative responsibility, structured documentation management, and direct support to the CTO.
You will act as the primary liaison between operational teams, developers, stakeholders, vendors, and system users - ensuring that all specifications are properly developed, implemented, tested, maintained, and accurately documented at all times.
This is a hands-on operational role requiring both analytical thinking and high-volume administrative execution.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Engineering, Business Information Systems, Business Analysis, Industrial Engineering, BCom/BBusSci in Information Systems or related field.
- Strong experience in business process mapping and workflow documentation. (2+ Years)
- Experience developing detailed technical specifications for software development.
- Experience working within Agile or structured development environments.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA (requirements management, backlog grooming, ticket creation, workflow management).
- Experience in systems testing (UAT and staging environments).
- Experience with Lucidchart or similar Business Process Management (BPM) software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Understanding of automation tools and process optimization frameworks.
