About the position

Our client is recruiting for a highly skilled Business Process Analyst (Marketplace Finance) to join their dynamic and fast-paced team. This critical role is focused on optimizing financial workflows, enhancing visibility and controls, and supporting scalable growth through data-driven process improvements.

You'll work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Product, Technology, and Compliance teams to identify inefficiencies, streamline financial operations, and drive continuous improvement across marketplace-related financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Process Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyse current financial processes across marketplace operations to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Map existing workflows and design optimized future-state processes
  • Lead and track process improvement initiatives
  • Develop clear process documentation, SOPs, and workflow diagrams
  • Engage stakeholders to validate improvements and align solutions with business goals

Financial Data Analysis & Insights

  • Perform data analysis to uncover financial trends, anomalies, and opportunities
  • Create dashboards and reports to enhance financial transparency
  • Support KPIs development and conduct root cause analyses for discrepancies
  • Provide actionable, data-driven recommendations for process and performance improvement

Financial Visibility & Reporting Enhancement

  • Build real-time financial dashboards and automated reporting solutions
  • Develop forecasting models and strategic financial tools
  • Monitor performance metrics and support strategic planning with analytical insights
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data across platforms

Internal Controls & Risk Assessment

  • Evaluate current control frameworks and identify gaps
  • Design and implement stronger financial controls
  • Conduct risk assessments and support audit readiness
  • Develop segregation of duties matrices and authorization structures

Compliance Monitoring & Analysis

  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax requirements, and accounting standards
  • Support marketplace seller compliance and regulatory reporting
  • Track compliance metrics and identify improvement areas
  • Monitor regulatory changes and their process impact

System Integration & Process Automation

  • Assess system capabilities and recommend automation opportunities
  • Collaborate with IT teams on financial system integrations
  • Document system requirements and test new processes
  • Propose technology solutions to increase process efficiency

Stakeholder Collaboration & Support

  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and meetings
  • Provide analytical support to strategic and operational initiatives
  • Drive training and change management efforts
  • Act as a subject matter expert on marketplace financial processes

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related analytical field
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial/business analysis or process improvement
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (preferred)
  • Proven expertise in process mapping and optimization
  • Experience with financial systems, ERP platforms, and data analysis tools
  • Background in e-commerce, marketplaces, or digital platforms (highly beneficial)
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
  • Experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik
  • Knowledge of SQL or other database query languages
  • Familiarity with Visio, Lucidchart, or similar mapping tools
  • Exposure to automation tools and project management methodologies
