About the position
Our client, a leading player in the agribusiness and food manufacturing sector, is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Business Manager to oversee their processed food product divisions. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional with proven experience in manufacturing (preferably food-related) and strong skills in business development, cost management, marketing, and sales. Both divisions operate in B2B markets, locally and internationally. This will be a permanent requirement and can be based either in Pretoria or Globersdal area.
The Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development (Local & Export) – Drive growth strategies, generate leads, manage sales cycles, and build strong client relationships.
- Sales Costings & Pricing – Prepare competitive costings and manage exchange rate fluctuations to safeguard profitability.
- Logistics & Supply Chain – Coordinate local and international logistics, ensuring seamless order fulfillment.
- Product Management – Oversee product knowledge, packaging, labeling, compliance, and food safety requirements.
- Production Forecasting & Planning – Align production with demand forecasts, raw material availability, and sales orders.
- Packaging Procurement – Strategically source packaging materials, balancing production flow and cash flow.
- Reporting – Deliver monthly reports on sales, fulfillment, product performance, and profitability.
Minimum Requirements & Experience
- Honours Degree / Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management and Administration.
- 3–5 years’ relevant experience in a business management role.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with expertise in costing and pricing.
- Previous exposure to food manufacturing and international trade advantageous.
