Business Improvement Specialist at Supply Chain Management Group

About the position

Reporting to the Managing Director, you have a background in Supply chain Continuous Improvement, Replenishment Planning & forecasting. The role will best suit an up and coming young manager, with the correct mix of skills as defined below.

You will lead a small team of University Degreed Industrial engineers &
be responsible for embedding and developing an integrated, 'best in class" supply chain approach for the business, to ensure cost optimistaion and customer satisfaction.

You will:

Duties and Responsibilites:

• Review company's business processes for enhancing effectiveness and benchmark with Industry Best Practice
• Working collaboratively with stakeholders to implement C.I. initiatives to drive cost reduction and service delivery across the business
• Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to change behaviour to drive process improvement in a positive manner
• Compile the business case for improvements as well as track the value realised vs initiatives
• Analysis of the Wholesale supply chain encompassing:
• Operational research, Modelling- optimization, scenario modeling
• Network design and modelling to create an optimized service strategy eg. Centralised vs Decentralised vs Hybrid model.
• Route and Vehicle Optimization. Schedules services vs Dedicated services, vs Hybrid.
• Industry footprint analysis and support. Identify future service points and review current footprint efficiency and cost.
• Scenario Planning of possible future events (process, cost, behavioral changes)oAd-hoc analysis and root cause analysis
• Implement a Continuous improvement plan
• Long term strategic planning: Forecasting and requirement planning, Capacity and impact assessements
• Balance Sheet Relief Mechanism Analysis and Optimisation
• Projects: industry systems imporvements, transport opitmiation, Data integrity, process optimisation
• Department support, analysis and modelling
• Industry and Department Projects and Continuous Improvement innovation

Minimum Requirements: Qualification & experience:

• B Eng Industrial Engineering (Hons) / Bsc Analytical discipline (Operational Research etc). SAPICS certification- advantageous PLUS
• 5 years' experience within the supply chain or operations environment of which
• 4 years plus analytical roles
• 3 years continuous improvement
• 3 years operational research and modelling
• 3 years management
• Experience with ERP/Planning/Planning systems
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite

Note: travel to business centres as required. Overtime as required.
