About the position
Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and analytical Business Developer with strong operational leadership experience to drive strategic growth initiatives across the organisation. This is a hybrid role that combines business development, operational oversight, and data-driven decision-making. Ideal candidates will have a commercial mindset and prior experience in senior operations or COO-level functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in alignment with overall company strategy
- Collaborate closely with the CEO to translate strategic goals into executable operational plans
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional growth initiatives across sales, client services, and onboarding
- Analyse business performance data (sales, margins, retention) to guide commercial decision-making
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders
- Prepare compelling business proposals, strategic reports, and investor/client pitch decks
- Support enterprise tenders, pricing models, and solution design processes
- Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Client Services to optimise workflows and value delivery
- Drive CRM adoption, manage pipeline reviews, and oversee accurate sales reporting
- Continuously identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance profitability and customer satisfaction
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in BusinessManagement, Operations, Strategy, or related field
- 5-8 years' experience in a senior operations, strategic, or business development capacity
- Proven track record of scaling business operations while managing commercial performance
- Strong knowledge of sales metrics, automation tools, and business intelligence platforms
- Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven business environment
- High level of financial and analytical literacy - able to interpret P&Ls, KPIs, and performance dashboards
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot) and business tools
