About the position

Introduction

The Business Development Partner for Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) plays a pivotal role in driving the growth of EPM solutions within the organization. This position involves developing and executing strategies to identify new business opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and lead the company’s efforts in expanding its EPM solution offerings. The role requires a deep understanding of business operations, financial management, and the technologies that support performance management.

Description
Primary Responsibilities for the Role

1.       Business Growth Strategy:

·       Develop and implement strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities in the EPM space.

·       Analyze market trends, industry challenges, and emerging opportunities to position the company’s EPM solutions as the leading choice for potential clients.

·       Create and execute comprehensive sales and business development plans to penetrate new markets and industries.

2.       Client Relationship Management:

·       Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers at target organizations (including senior management, financial officers, and business leaders).

·       Act as a trusted advisor by understanding clients’ needs, presenting tailored EPM solutions, and maintaining long-term client relationships.

·       Manage the client lifecycle from initial contact and proposal development to closing deals and post-sale follow-up.

3.       Solution Positioning and Product Expertise:

·       Serve as the subject matter expert on EPM solutions, particularly in areas such as financial consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, performance management, and strategic planning.

·       Articulate the value proposition of EPM offerings in a way that aligns with clients’ business goals and addresses their pain points.

·       Work closely with internal teams to ensure the solutions being presented align with the client’s specific needs.

4.       Partnership Development:

·       Forge strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including technology providers, consultants, and industry influencers, to expand the company’s EPM footprint.

·       Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product management) to ensure successful partnership execution and mutual benefit.

5.       Sales Enablement:

·       Support the sales team by providing valuable insights into market needs, client objections, and competitive landscape.

·       Assist in developing sales collateral, proposals, presentations, and RFP responses that resonate with potential clients.

·       Participate in client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to close high-value deals.

6.       Market Intelligence and Reporting:

·       Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in EPM technology, market shifts, and competitors to identify areas of opportunity.

·       Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline progress, and competitive analysis to senior leadership.

7.       Collaborative Teamwork:

·       Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, technical support, and product development, to ensure alignment of business development efforts with product capabilities and company strategy.

·       Foster a collaborative working environment to drive project success and client satisfaction.

·       Management or related fields (financial management, business intelligence, planning software).

·       Strong understanding of EPM solutions such as financial consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, BI, and planning tools.

·       Demonstrated ability to engage with C-suite executives and key decision-makers with existing relationships in the market



Minimum Requirements
Education & Qualification

·       Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., in EPM or project management) is a plus.

·       Proven track record in business development, sales, or partnerships in the technology space, particularly within Enterprise Performance Management or related fields (financial management, business intelligence, planning software).

·       Strong understanding of EPM solutions such as financial consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, BI, and planning tools.

·       Demonstrated ability to engage with C-suite executives and key decision-makers.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

·       Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.

·       Experience with CRM systems, sales tools, and project management platforms.

·       Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
