About the position
Description:
Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their mining company based in Gauteng. You will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships and delivering commercial solutions that support long-term revenue and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across targeted markets and industries.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue, growth and profitability objectives.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis and identify emerging market opportunities.
- Build, manage and maintain a strong sales pipeline from prospecting through to contract award.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers, partners and key stakeholders.
- Prepare and present business cases, commercial proposals and strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with technical, operational and commercial teams to develop customer-focused solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, technical engagement, negotiations and contract execution.
- Participate in tender processes and support commercial negotiations where required.
- Monitor business development performance, maintain CRM records and prepare management reports.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, client meetings and networking opportunities.
- Support market expansion initiatives and identify opportunities to diversify products, services and customer markets.
Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Mining, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Geology, BCom (Financial) or a related discipline
- Minimum 5-10 years' of proven business development, commercial, technical sales, or account management experience within the mining industry
- Proven experience developing new business opportunities and managing strategic customer relationships.
- Computer literacy (SAP and MS Office)
- Valid Driver's License
