About the position
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth initiatives. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, cultivating customer relationships, and collaborating with our sales team to deliver innovative green solutions to key accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, quotations and tender submissions. Support a team of Design Consultants and Key Account Managers through contract management, negotiations, pricing, and customer meetings.
- Develop and execute growth strategies focused on revenue generation and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct market research to identify new markets, customer needs, and industry trends for strategic decision-making.
- Identify and pursue business growth through various channels.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing key customers.
- Provide ongoing support and communication to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Act as a liaison between customers, sales and internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions.
- Assist sales teams and customers by developing tailored solutions to their specific needs and requirements.
- Negotiate national contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Timing Plan activities/ meetings with sales/ customers through effective time management.
- Relationship building within the group, customers and facilities managers.
- Networking is key.
- Oversight of tender submissions and national key accounts.
- Assist Key Account Managers and Design Consultants in closing deals.
- Follow up on customer queries.
- Complete all sales administration/ reporting accurately and timeously.
Qualifications and experience
- BA in business administration, sales or relevant field Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
- Proven sales track record
- Experience in customer support
- Experience in functional outsourcing would be an added advantage
