About the position

IT Business Development Manager - Networking

We are looking for a highly ambitious Business Development Manager with the main objective to recruit new customers and reactivate dormant customers for the company's Networking business unit. The successful candidate will be an energetic and enthusiastic salesperson who is able to identify potential customers, establish relationships and convert them into customers after which they will be handed over to the Account Management team for ongoing management.

The Position: We're looking for an Account Manager to be based permanently in Centurion. The pay range on offer is a basic salary between R30 000.00 to R40 000.00 CtC Per Month. This is not a remote working position and standard working hours from the office in Centurion will apply.

Requirements:

  • Completed Matric - essential
  • Completed Diploma / Certificate in IT - beneficial
  • Strong Microsoft Excel - Advanced Level - essential
  • Accpac CRM knowledge - highly beneficial
  • 5+ years experience in a Business Development or Account Management role
  • Own vehicle with a valid driver's license
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative and solution driven
  • Open to working in an Agile environment where changes are frequent and technologies evolve
  • Highly organized
  • Focused and performance driven
  • Knowledge of relevant brand products and processes
  • Knowledge of Vendor structure to have the correct point of contact
  • Knowledge of the information management industry in South Africa
  • Knowledge of IT industry
  • Ability to deliver on service-level agreements
  • Remains calm under pressure
  • Previous experience selling Networking products / solutions beneficial
  • Proven history of achievement in New Business Development
  • Creative, solution-driven attitude

Responsibilities:

  • New Partner Development
  • Identify new potential resellers and partners
  • Establish contact and relationships with new partners
  • Communicate and present product and solution portfolios
  • Nurturing leads and converting them to active customers
  • Negotiate deals and project opportunities
  • Compile and present proposals and quotations
  • Ongoing expansion of Active Partner base
  • Identify and engage dormant customers
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities with customers conducting business with other Business Units
  • Attend relevant exhibitions and events
  • Liaise with relevant internal and external
  • Vendor Management
  • Maintain relationships with key vendors
  • Manage project and bid process with vendors
  • Work closely with vendors on new opportunities
  • Engage with vendor-lead sales leads
  • Attend relevant training
  • Partner query resolution
  • Ensure that all customer queries are resolved timeously, leveraging other resources as necessary
  • Taking ownership and accountability for all partner queries, whether sales, technical, or finance related
  • Administration
  • Load activities on CRM
  • Compile and present sales reports to management
  • Load and manage sales opportunities
  • Compile and present QBRs
  • Follow up on quotes
  • Follow up on operations responses
